Marbella is arguably the most glamorous resort on the Costa del Sol, located in the province of Malaga in Southern Spain.
Whilst the cities of Madrid and Barcelona are modern and cosmopolitan, the more laid back Costa del Sol offers quality of life, as well as breathtaking views across to the African coast and the imposing rock of Gibraltar.
Marbella has been described as the playground for the world’s elite for decades. It boasts 26 km of beautiful beaches, stunning luxury villas, the finest hotels, world class cuisine, chic boutiques, the largest number of golf courses in continental Europe and 320 days of Mediterranean sunshine a year.
Over the past six decades Marbella has developed to much more than an international luxury tourism resort for the global jet-set community, it has been home to aristocrats, movie stars, sports personalities and wealthy business executives. Infact more than 135 nationalities live in Marbella, with around a third of the inhabitants being of international origin. It would be impossible to fully name all the VIPs which have graced Marbella with their presence over the years.
